Seeking life wherever it is expressed.

Remembering Eternity

Remembering Eternity is the function and expression of the Spirit of Truth. Within us all is the Spirit it is what binds us to each other and to God our Father. Paul wrote “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” Rom.8:11
The Spirit within us is not a different Spirit than the one that was in Jesus when he walked the earth. Everything that Jesus, Paul, Peter, Mary or anyone has experienced in Spirit we have accesses to through the one Spirit within us. Again Paul wrote “For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit” 1Cor.12:13. So its not many Spirits that are at work but One Spirit from which we can live. This living in Spirit is not individual because the Spirit is not individual the One Spirit is in the many making all One. As we live from the Spirit we live in the community of all who live from the Spirit. Again the words of Paul “But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you”. Rom.8:9. Having the Spirit within you is one thing but the challenge or opportunity before us all is living within, by and through that One Spirit. This is what growing up or maturing is all about. Again Paul: “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God”. Rom.8:14. To be led or be conscience of the One Holy Spirit that dwells within us is our way to freedom and liberation from our fleshly nature or ego. It is our false concepts, lies and false limitations that can bind us to a limited consciousness. Through the One Spirit we become conscience of what is or the “I AM”. Unity is in Spirit not in agreed upon truths or understanding but in lives led by the Spirit. Trying to attain unity is impossible but by being led by the Spirit is the expression of real existing unity by all who are engaged in such activity. As the One Spirit expressed in different human bodies our spiritual reality is no more visible to us than be the vision of one of the individual cells in my body seeing the totality of the whole body it is one with. Jesus knew this and said: “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:26. This remembering did not only occur with the disciples of Jesus but with all disciples of the Christ that dwells within us. As the Christ was remembered in the one body of Jesus today we remember our oneness in Christ as we take the symbolic portions of the physical body of Jesus. As each of us take a piece of the bread we see that the piece came from one whole. In the same way as I live from the One Spirit within me I can also see that you can live by the same One Eternal Spirit within you. And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me. Luke 22:19

Christopher, I really liked how you put this thought together. Oneness is such a mystery to most of us and when you take into account that the Spirit is not bound by space and time, it makes all of what you said so real. See all this worked out practically, though.. is also wonderful…
a bit more of a process because we’re not alone in it… but still so amazingly marvellous! thanks for sharing, it . Ron
